Choudhary re-elected as BoD

 

Dhanraj Choudhary, who represents Asia in the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), was re-elected as a Board of Director (BoD) for another four years along with other continental representatives. Choudhary, who is the former Secretary General of the Table Tennis Federation of India, will serve his second successive term as BoD at the ITTF.

Sharath, Manika keeping Indian hopes alive

 

A. Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra were the only two Indian paddlers that survived to live another day in the singles events of the 2017 World Table Tennis Championships at Dusseldorf while the other six fell by the wayside, bowing out in the first round of the main draw.

Dushyant elected SATTF president

 

 Dushyant Chautala, president of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), and Chandana Perera of the Sri Lanka Table Tennis Federation, have been elected President and Secretary General of the South Asian Table Tennis Federation (SATTF) here today.

Hope hinges on Sharath; Indians look forward to Dusseldorf Worlds

 

The hope of Indian paddlers reaching nearer to the medal podium at the 2017 World Table Tennis Championships, to be held at Dusseldorf from May 29 to June 5, will hinge on World No. 53, Achanta Sharath Kamal. Since the championships are all about individual performances, the Indian members will have to try hard to make an impression in the eight-day event.

India complete formality, win all 10 gold in South Asian Junior TT

 

India added six more gold on the concluding day to complete the sweep of all 10 gold medals on offer in the South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships at Mount Lavinia, near Colombo, on Sunday.

After sealing their berths yesterday in the Asian Juniors, to be held in Ansan (Korea) from June 29 to July 4, the Indian paddlers continued their winning ways on the second day to complete a golden sweep of team medals in the South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships at Mount Lavinia, near Colombo, today.

Indian boys and girls qualified for the Asian Juniors, after attaining top-of-the-table position in group league on the first day of the South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships at Mount Lavinia, near Colombo, today.
