ENTRIES FOR INTERNATIONAL EVENTS
TTFI News 30th-May-2025
Dear all State/UT Associations,
Further to our email dated April 30, 2025, we would like to reiterate that TTFI has implemented the acceptance of entries from youth and senior players for all international events (ITTF/WTT/ATTU) through the online portal from June 1, 2025. In the above notification, we had given the option of a tournament in June—WTT Youth Contender, Helsingborg, Sweden (June 6-9, 2025)—requesting to the players/states to enter through the portal, besides advising the states to send a comprehensive list of players from through a dedicated mail (internationalevent@ttfi.org) to cross check entries as a one-time exception.
But, we received ONLY ONE entry (Advika Agrawal of MP) through the portal, duly endorsed by MPTTA to the dedicated mail, and five other entries—one each from Bihar and Karnataka (by dedicated email ID), and three from Rajasthan (all by TTFI email). The five entries sent through emails, especially Rajasthan, using the TTFI email, and not advising their players to enter through the portal, defeat the sole purpose of our efforts to implement the ONLINE PORTAL system for international entries. Please note that it is mandatory for all the state associations to adhere to the online portal system process, which is akin to what we are doing in our domestic tournaments.
However, TTFI has extended one last time another test case for the two following international tournaments in July and August—WTT Youth Contender, Almaty, Kazakhstan (July 23-26, 2025) and WTT Youth Contender Hong Kong (July 28-August 3, 2025). The states are strictly advised to instruct players to enter names through the portal first and then send a consolidated list of players to TTFI, endorsing the entries, to the dedicated mail (internationalevent@ttfi.org).
Please note that after these two events, entries sent through emails will not be entertained at all. We will continue to open the portal well in advance for players to enter through it for all subsequent events. All players, including seniors, will follow these instructions strictly. Most importantly, the states MUST ensure the system is absorbed and adopted in spirit and letter to help TTFI forward entries of players to the organisers.
Any follow-up communication relating to the international entries should be sent only to: internationalevent@ttfi.org
Best wishes,
Kamlesh Mehta
Secretary General
