Jodhpur, December 2: Chitkara University’s men will take on Chandigarh University as they defeated Jain University and Adamas University, respectively, in the edition of the Khelo India University Games at the Chainpura Indoor Stadium today. Chitkara’s men won 3-0, but Chandigarh’s men dropped a tie before winning 3-1 to enter the final.

In the women’s semifinals, Chitkara made short work of Panjab University with a 3-0 verdict. Still, Sneha Bhowmick turned it around for Adamas University, despite the heroics of Hardee Patel and Ananya Chande. The last two made all the hard work, but a lucky drop after the ball hit the net cord earned Adamas and Sneha the crucial point in a decisive deuce game.

Chitkara University overcame SRM University 3–1 after a shaky start. SRM’s M.R. Balamurugan gave his team an early lead, but Chitkara bounced back through strong performances from Yashansh and Wesley, sealing the tie with determined play. Jain University edged past the University of Calcutta 3–2 in a tense encounter. Akash was the star for Jain, winning both his matches, while Yeshwant secured the deciding victory to carry Jain varsity into the next round.

Adamas University defeated CT University 3–1 in yet another spirited contest. Aniket played a crucial role, winning two matches—both hard-fought five-game ties—to ensure Adamas’ progression. Chandigarh University also advanced with a 3–1 win over Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. Divyansh and Jash led the charge with composed performances, wrapping up a confident victory.

In the women’s division, Adamas University produced a commanding 3–0 triumph over SRM University. Sneha, Prithoki, and Sampriti were in fine form, with Sneha rallying back impressively after losing the first two games. Chandigarh University followed suit, blanking Jain University 3–0 in a clinical display of dominance. Ridhima, Ananya, and Hardee maintained steady control throughout, showcasing consistency and teamwork.

Panjab University staged a thrilling comeback to edge University of Calcutta 3–2. After early setbacks, Swetapadma turned the tide around with two crucial victories, guiding Panjab into the semifinals. Chitkara University defeated Osmania University 3–1, with Suhana starring in both her matches. Pritha added a straight-games win to secure Chitkara’s semifinal berth.
